Welcome to the writer's den, my home office
Halloween is a big day at the Batz house — Melinda is seriously into the day of the dead. This year we’re likely to take on the witch and warlock personalities…the What Really Works book deadline is Monday, morning November 1. Ah-wooooooooo…

See me at work in my home office: http://bit.ly/acHrCs

Ever wonder what goes through the mind of an author on a hard deadline? For me it’s like a caffeinated adrenaline rush. Having cut my teeth on advertising copy-writing deadlines, I love the pressure to be both witty and timely. However, as each day passes I have more and more difficulty keeping a quiet mind during my morning prayers. With each tick of my grandmother’s antique clock I can hear the deadline inching nearer…and I can hear the vultures of Halloween circling tighter and tighter.

In two weeks we’ll publish sample chapters for “trick or treat.”[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
