My joy multiplies when we help people grow. Especially when we help leaders grow. Today, I am especially grateful for a partnership with Jessica Larson at the Center for Diagnostic Imaging. She and I have partnered for more than five years to help CDI leaders grow. It’s good for us, and good for them. And that makes me happy!
“We truly believe in the principles and philosophies of Good Leadership,” Jessica shared. “And the Training has really benefited our organization.” Six CDI leaders completed Good Leadership Training, and each of them has been promoted to higher responsibilities within CDI.
“We’ve truly seen people develop as leaders,” she continued. “From the ideas around Goodness, Personal Visioning and The Seven Fs we are more reflective, more in tune with the needs of our people and more active listeners.”
CDI is an awesome organization that has doubled in size over the past three years through acquisition and organic growth. It’s been wonderful for me to watch the evolution of the company – they have a new CEO in Rick Long, and Jessica Larson has continued to grow in her role as the HR Leader.

“We’re a conservative, fast-paced, hard working, heads down organization so it was important for us to discover the importance of making sure we have FUN at work!” Jessica laughed. “Ever since Good Leadership Training, we are doing things to give people time to take a break and fun with co-workers.” The managers now routinely schedule events like Chili Cook Offs and Pumpkin Carving Contests. This month they have a Super Bowl Snack Showdown, with a bracketed competition to find the best Super Bowl snack.
“We will continue to be involved in Good Leadership, because our leaders are growing and our culture continues to evolve in ways that are good for business,” she reasoned. And that multiplies my joy!

Peter Germann and Kelsey Schalkley are the facilitators of the Spring 2016 Good Leadership Training program – they are both shining examples of good leaders who live the blended Seven Fs lifestyle. And CDI will have people in the room when the next program begins on February 19.
Good leaders invest in training and development to help people grow. And their joy multiplies as they see new leaders thrive.
Please share with me: How are you helping others grow?
