University of St. Thomas President Rob Vischer to Speak at Good Leadership Breakfast on September 11

After a summer away, the Fall 2026 Good Leadership Breakfast Series kicks off on September 11 with a leader who understands the power of purpose, relationships, and long-term vision. Rob Vischer, President of the University of St. Thomas, will be the featured speaker at the September Good Leadership Breakfast.

Minnesota is home to many influential organizations, but few institutions shape the future quite like the University of St. Thomas. As Minnesota’s largest private university, St. Thomas is preparing students to lead with competence, conscience, and compassion in an increasingly complex world. Under Rob’s leadership, the university has strengthened its commitment to whole-person formation while expanding its national reputation through distinctive academic programs and a historic transition from Division III to Division I athletics.

Leadership Rooted in Mission

Rob has served as president of the University of St. Thomas since 2022, following a decade as dean of the university’s School of Law. Throughout his tenure, he has helped reinforce the university’s mission while fostering what Pope Francis described as a “culture of encounter,” where every student feels seen, known, and valued.

His career path is equally fascinating. Before entering academia, Rob practiced corporate litigation and clerked for three federal judges. Today, in addition to leading one of Minnesota’s most respected institutions, he serves on the executive committee of GREATER MSP and on the boards of the Minnesota Business Partnership and Greater Twin Cities United Way.
