July 1 is New Year’s Day for many corporations who choose the mid calendar year as a more strategic date to begin and end their Fiscal year. Seems fitting that we bring in the New Year with fireworks. Personally, I’ve always enjoyed the ritual of Wimbledon-watching, lake-floating and fireworks-gazing as a mid-year battery charger.
If you stop and think for a moment: today (every day) is the start of a new year. How would you live your life differently — and how would you lead differently — if every day was a fresh start? Here’s the one flaw in my theory…I’m hoping that we collectively will resist the urge to party every night like New Year’s Eve. Ah…the struggles of a modern day philosopher.
