We believe the path to greatness is paved by good leaders who radiate goodness – today and everyday. Our mission is to spread goodness. It’s the word “spread” that has me on the move these days. It’s planes, trains and automobiles this Fall…

Taking the show on the road

Today I am in Chicago speaking and coaching with the high performers of the Fee Based Planning professionals of Northwestern Mutual. We’re discussing How Goodness Pays in their roles as business owners, financial advisers and community leaders. The central message: public trust in banking and financial services has never been lower.  Today, people expect goodness!  This means providing excellence, while working with generosity, fairness and positivity.

Goodness grows

Goodness grows, when we take the show on the road.
Goodness grows when we go out on the road.

Two weeks ago my travel provided two “pinch me, is this really happening?” moments. Thursday, I spoke to a distinguished group of CFOs in the iconic Ronald Reagan dining room at the historic Jonathan Club in Los Angeles. We started a conversation about how “Blending the Seven Fs” is good for the well-being and financial stability of their organizations. Then I hopped on a plane to get home to Minneapolis for the Medtronic Women’s IT Leadership Conference. I really love speaking at women’s leadership conferences.

A Medtronic treasure: this notebook is filled with "Thank You" messages about Goodness, and the Seven Fs.
A Medtronic treasure: this notebook is filled with “Thank You” messages from global women leaders about Goodness, and Blending the Seven Fs.

In the Griffin Auditorium at the original Medtronic global headquarters, 75 women leaders from across the globe shared laughter and insight about goodness and The Seven Fs.  Together we explored new ideas about how blending faith, family, finances, fitness, friends, fun and future could help them consistently radiate goodness – at work and at home. I arrived home over the weekend to find a handwritten notebook full of “thank you” messages from the participants. It is the coolest speaker gift ever. (Goodness pays!)

Spreading far and wide

Next, I’ll be in Milwaukee hosting a Goodness Dinner for US Bank – we’re starting a focus group research for the Why Goodness Pays book project. And then I’m off to New York for a keynote presentation at the JP Morgan Wealth Management leadership conference….and then back to Los Angeles in November for a west coast Goodness Dinner.

Good leaders commit to a mission of fueling goodness in others.  They pursue the path that spreads their message far and wide.  Goodness pays because goodness grows!

Shoot me a note: where does your mission take you?[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
