We all know that bad news sells. I’m sitting in a Phoenix hotel this morning scanning the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today — Constantly Negative News (CNN) is droning on the TV in the background. News about the election, Wall Street ethical breakdowns and more reports about grown men finding kids sexually exciting… Enough is enough. Time to shut off the TV, recycle the papers and focus on spreading goodness.

Next Thursday evening, September 20, 2012, I’ll be back in Minneapolis, hosting a gathering of community leaders who want to accelerate the growth of goodness in leadership and business. We are meeting at a swanky event space in Minneapolis: The 110 North Loop Loft to multiply our energy around the Good Leadership Conference. Last month I blogged about taking on the risk of hosting the first ever Good Leadership Conference: Leading Together. It’s both exciting and nerve-testing to put ourselves out there!

The people gathering next Thursday are helping me personally fuel the movement — they are Host Partners. My friends Cathy, Carolyn, Greg, Noah, Tim, Delane and Heidi are all working overtime to ensure we have the mojo to succeed. It might help to think of next Thursday as a “pep rally” to continue the positive momentum toward the conference on October 26. Who doesn’t like pep rallies?
What are you doing next Thursday night? Will you join us? Reply today and we will send you the information about when and where.
Good leaders make a habit of shutting out the continual cycle of bad news, deliberately choosing to radiate goodness. And they go out of their way to hang out with positive people who multiply that contagious can-do energy.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
